Dr. Toups of NMSU Gives Seminar Talk to TAMU CSE
On January 22, 2018, Assistant Professor Dr. Zach Toups from New Mexico State University’s Play and Interactive Experiences for Learning (PIxL) Lab visited Texas A&M University’s Department of Computer Science and Engineering to give a talk on his on-going research work titled “Playing at Planning: Developing Games to Support Disaster Responders”. An alumni of TAMU HCI under Interface Ecology Lab’s Professor Dr. Andruid Kerne, Dr. Toups drew a large crowd to present his research lab’s latest efforts on developing game design patterns for supporting engaging gameplay in in disaster-response-style planning activities. The research work from his talk will also be presented at CHI 2018, the premier conference in human-computer interaction research work.
